Will You Stay, Still?

I think there is a fundamental human problem, and I want to speak to it as wholesomely as I can.

Most of us grew up with a reward system for whatever we do.
“Wash these plates, I’ll buy you something”. “Pass your exams, and I’ll get you a bicycle”.

“Be good so goodness can come back to you”. “Serve God, and be blessed”...etcetera.
But you get these examples, right? These are things most of us grew up hearing and don’t get me wrong, they are true; but what if it delays or doesn’t happen like we want?
Now, while a reward system isn’t bad in itself as it is natural to expect rewards for things done, there has to be a line drawn at expectations.
I especially want to address one of the examples, which is- to be a good person always, and it’ll come back to you and serve God and lack nothing.
You see, life is not black and white. In fact, if there’s anyone to say this realistically, it’ll be me because of my many experiences.
People will not always be good to you because you’re a good person, nor will you always have the answers from God the way you want them. The question is, will you stop believing because He didn’t answer you how you wanted or rather be a bad person because people suck?..
I know my answer, but I’m not sure of yours.
Summarily, who you are, regardless of whether you’re rewarded or not, should be constant. People will always People...
Live your life as wholly as possible, devoid of external factors. If it comes, fine, if not, you should still be fine. It is what stays in you that defines you, not always what’s external.
Choose love!
Choose to trust in God regardless.
Chose kindness...
Let it be your lifestyle. That’s enough!!!
