There are many things I am

Taking out my pen again after a short hiatus is refreshing.
Writing isn’t just a skill for me. It is my deepest form of expressing my most cherished thoughts and ideas. So you’ll find most of the beauty in my mind when you read from me.

There’s so much I want to write about, but let’s start from this video I came across a while ago.
A mother was having a conversation with her 4-year-old who was throwing really loud tantrums because she seized her I-pad for behaving rudely.
While her daughter screamed and expressed her anger, she remained calm and was having a conversation with her, asking her really thoughtful questions about her feelings. To cut the long story short, her daughter finally calmed down after conversing with her mum, who made her see reasons why she needn’t shout because she’s angry. That would be one of the greatest teachings that child would receive, in my opinion.
It was wholesome to watch and of course there are lessons from it.

During a family vacation to the Smoky Mountains our son had a challenging moment.. but he sought and found comfort in the arms of his mom.
Warmth of a Parent

They’re Nigerians, so it very easy to tell that this mum was reinventing a style of parenting. Most adults now grew up in homes where correction meant shouting, beating, and throwing stuff at them. Unfortunately, this is been recycled and passed down to their own children, and the cycle continues.
But here is a mum who thinks no, I don’t need to traumatise my child because I was handed the same. There’s a better way to do this, and she did.

We really do not have to prove a point by giving everything we were given. If there would ever be a change, then YOU have to take responsibility to begin a new order.
Parenting is a huge task but it can be done in love, calm, and respect.

Leaving behind your childhood trauma is one of the greatest gifts you'll give your offspring.
Say yes to gentle parenting.
Selah!!!

Hey!!!. I love to write and I'm a huge fan of creative contents. My best quote as a writer is "the pen is greater than the sword". I bring imaginations to life.
